Das Street Art Animationsduo VJSuave aus Brasilien macht schicke, zuckersüße Filme. Der Clip „Homeless“, beispielsweise, enstand mit Unterstützung von MTV (das in Brasilien offenbar noch etwas relevanter ist als bei uns).

Alle Animationen sind handgezeichnet und werden dann auf das Straßen-Setting projiziert und aufgenommen. Das Verfahren ist irrsinnig aufwändig:

“Homeless is poignant, warm, and personal, crafted from hand-drawn and hand-painted media, transformed into digital animation, then projection-mapped in a way that seems to bring São Paulo’s alleyways and streets alive. Characters dance and run across the urban landscape, with a convincing blend of simulated movement and real, moving projection. It really is cinema, fusing a story with the projection-mapped setting.“

Das Street Art Duo macht auch tolle Installationen und zeichnet live an Häuserwände (dafür nutzen sie die App Tagtool), manchmal, um die Wälder zu retten, aber auch bei der Apple Keynote 2014.
